On the Iowa Bar Exam, the six-question Multistate Essay Examination is administered. Additionally, two Multistate Performance Test questions are administered. Iowa Bar Exam - MPRE Requirements

A scaled score of 80 is required. The score must be filed with the board no later than March 1, preceding the July exam or October 1, preceding the February exam. If an applicant takes the March MPRE and is sitting for the July bar exam, scores may be accepted by petition. Contact the board for more information.
